From humble beginnings in 1992, we casually exceeded our annual growth-goal of 50%. Starting with a staff compliment of three in 1992, PRISMA COMMS now provide an income to over 130 employees and their families.
During 1999, PRISMA COMMS acquired the interests of Teleboss Pretoria, and incorporated this acquisition under SQUARETECH, a division of PRISMA COMMS. At the same time, other service providers such as Chercor Pretoria were acquired from Spescomm.
During July 2001, PRISMA COMMS purchased Hi-Tech Communications (then Dimension Data partner for Mpumalanga), with their head office situated in Middelburg. After renaming, the PRISMA COMMS Middelburg branch was established.
We soon recognized the need for a service provider in Eastern Mpumalanga and bordering countries such as Mozambique. In January 2002, we commissioned and established the PRISMA COMMS Nelspruit branch.
During the first quarter of 2004, PRISMA COMMS acquired Logitel Mpumalanga, with offices in Middelburg, Nelspruit and Newcastle. This strengthened our position in that region significantly as we could offer solutions to suit the need of our clients and the necessary resources to offer total customer satisfaction.
A further acquisition took place in July 2004 when we obtained DCS Samsung in Durban, which reinforced our presence in Kwa-Zulu Natal. PRISMA COMMS Rustenburg branch opened in February 2005 to service the greater North-West Province. PRISMA COMMS Cape Town was opened in the last quarter of 2005 and PRISMA COMMS Port Elizabeth in 2006. The latest addition to the network is PRISMA COMMS Bloemfontein which was introduced in 2008. |

PRISMA COMMS was awarded Gold Dealer Status by Dimension Data Converged Communications in 2002. Qualification for this status depended hugely on the amount of money invested in training and skill development of our employees.

As part of our social responsibility programme, PRISMA COMMS established TAU INSTALLATIONS, owned and managed by our staff from the previously disadvantaged community. TAU INSTALLATION is used extensively as sub-contractor to PRISMA COMMS and various other organisations. We also developed an extensive skill transfer programme to the management and staff of TAU INSTALLATIONS. |
